Truer Identity
I met Barbara at an art charity sale. While I admired her paintings, she told me her life story… all about travelling to South America, painting donkeys, and teaching art to kids with special needs…
I listened mesmerised; she is so alive. So unburdened by people’s opinions. So magnetically authentic… But the she told me about her son, who died young. His motto was ‘in everyone look for what is ok, and speak to that.”
I took a deep breath… I imagine a works where we all look for the ok parts in everyone (ourselves too) and speak life into that! A world where every word waters the truer identity of everyone.
